Hello all!
Team RBS is going to be traveling to the Chicago Boat Show (Jan 27-30) at Navy Pier. We’ll be in booth #384 so stop by and say hi! We are going to be putting on formal batten seminars which are entirely free with paid entry into the boat show. The time and locations are as follows:
- Friday – January 28th, 6pm – room # 301
- Sunday – January 30th, 10:30am – room # 313-314
Among many batten related topics we will be discussing the differences between different batten manufacturing processes, getting the proper draft location, tapers, how to best utilize battens to compliment sail shape providing maximum efficiency as well as stretching the life of your sails. They normally run between 20-30 mins and can help you maximize performance in your sails for this upcoming sailing season. Have questions about your battens? If you don’t, we bet you will after a seminar, and we would be happy to try and help answer them.
Also, we will be giving away a free custom set of our E-glass battens built for your sail. Stop by the booth, or come to a seminar to grab a giveaway entry form, and drop the form off at our booth to be entered in the drawing. (You won’t need to be present at the time of the drawing to win.)
