Video of the week 8/24/11

We are going to try something new here, which is user submitted video and/or photos.  We will select one video each week to be posted on our homepage.  At the end of the month there will be a chance of winning some fun RBS swag.  You can submit your photos or videos to Scott.  Let’s see those RBS Battens being put to the test!

Our first video is on board Ted Lohr’s Express 27, “Monster Express” during the 2011 HRYC Double Damned.  The Double Damned is a 42 mile downwind race through the Columbia River Gorge, right in our backyard.  More on the race here

Enjoy,

This was truly a test for our Battens! We’re running RBS in our main and not shown here is our fully Battened (Luff to Leech) #3 from Santa Cruz Sails that really shows the abuse the battens can take. We often slug upwind in 25-30+ and they’ve performed like champions!
